Established through a $1,000,000 gift from Fujifilm to Harvard Medical School, the program will advance education and research in the field of translational medicine.

Cambridge, Mass., July 29, 2019 – FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation (Fujifilm), today announced the first-ever recipients of the Fujifilm Fellowship at Harvard Medical School (HMS).

“We are proud to announce the inaugural group of Fujifilm Fellows who are passionate about providing solutions to the evolving needs of our society,” said Yutaka Yamaguchi, General Manager of the new Fujifilm Life Science Strategic Business Office. “Fujifilm is committed to providing resources to advance the next generation of healthcare leaders with the goal of bringing new treatment and diagnosis options to market to help change lives.”

The inaugural group of Fujifilm Fellowship recipients includes Michael Mazzola, Reina Iwase, and Martha Ordonez.

Established through a gift of $1,000,000, the Fujifilm Fellowship Fund was designed by Fujifilm and HMS to advance translational medical research by investing in future therapeutics innovators. The selected beneficiaries who have been admitted to Harvard Medical School’s Therapeutics Graduate Program will be provided with financial assistance to pursue their education and research in therapeutic innovation. The program is expected to support about six students for the next two years.
